  • Japanese Food

I like cooking I usually cook Japanese food but recently my husband asked me
to make English style food once or twise a week.
I don't know exactly what English meal is. Is it fish and chips?
    Roast beef or shepherd's pie??

We normally have rice at dinner time. Miso soup as well. It is very common in Japan.
Some people have them 3times a day! Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There is a rice cooker in my kitchen but I can't buy Japanese rice here
When I go to London, I often go to a Japanese supermarket to get
them. I wish I could buy Japanese ingredient at  a local supermarket!

By the way, my father and mother in-law can't use chopsticks properly.
Once we took them to a Japanese restaurant in London because
they'd never had Japanese food before so I thought It was a good opportunity
for them. Then..they used knife and fork. Mmmm... I hope they enjoyed that night..

If English people had sushi and sashimi more often, then one day I might find
fresh raw fish at the local shops!!!

How often do you have a Japanese meal???

  • I'll try.

I am a Japanese living with English husband in England
I have to say sorry I can't make up perfect sentence so you'll find
lots of funny stupid mistake in my blog

I'd lived here for 2years now. My husband can speak Japanese a bit
(actually only few words...)but we usually use only English because...
he said it was good for poyorin speaking English everyday.
I try speaking out to local people but still difficult.
If someone has a strong accent such as scotish,Northern English and
so on I can't understand what they say
BUT, people I've met so far are very nice to me though I speak English
    with a Japanese accent
That's why I love here and love English people.
Now I'm getting use to having  tea every day and Fish'n chips!
I wonder if English people like Green tea or not..
I've never seen they have it before. Is it unpopular here??

Anyway I believe that my English will be perfect(!) one day!!
